Hello

My name is Krzysztof Dobkowski. I am curious about other people, and I like helping others, both privately and professionally. It’s curiosity, empathy, and care for other people that defined my way of working and made me become a coach.


I’m working for more than 10 years now in an international corporation, and more specifically in the Human Resources department. I grew up in Greece where I spent over 20 years of my life. Throughout this experience, I’ve learned openness, cultural diversity, and curiosity about the world. However, professionally I developed in Krakow, where I currently live with my wife and our lovely Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Beza.

I love traveling because it takes me out of my comfort zone. Every time I’m learning something new about myself. I love traveling because it challenges my perspective and opens my eyes to a whole new world. However, my form of meditation is running, which I fell in love with quite recently.

I am a graduate of the Jagiellonian University at the Faculty of Management and Social Communication, majoring in management with a specialization in human resource management. I have also completed many other courses and training, including:

Leadership coaching focuses on the development of leadership competencies. These are mainly soft skills, and I have to say that I don’t like calling them in such a way as there is nothing soft about them. These are crucial skills and hard to acquire. The division into human and technical competencies appeals to me more. During the session, we focus on developing personal charisma, building trust and responsibility for the team. We work as well on self-awareness and awareness of other people’s emotions. Additionally, we concentrate on accepting someone else’s point of view and understanding the motives behind someone’s behavior, in other words, empathy.

I strongly support “Servant leadership” as it’s the highest form of leadership. In light of this approach, the leader is there to help his team so that they can perform their duties the best they can. It’s a concept known for more than 2,000 years now. Servant leadership was an essential element of Jesus’s philosophy. Jesus himself was a fully committed and effective servant leader. More recent examples of leaders following this philosophy include Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, and Martin Luther King. The Servant Leadership approach gives the best results from the perspective of a person and the organization. There is a possibility to combine Coaching with Mentoring. Coaching

Career coaching deals with supporting the client’s personal development while looking for professional education, work, or the possibility of further professional development. We spend more or less half of our adult life at work. Therefore, it is essential to feel motivated, appreciated, and have the possibility of personal development in the direction of our desire.


During the session, you can check whether your current position or career/development path is the right choice for you. You can also plan your professional future or the change you want to make.

Coaching

Life coaching focuses on improving the client’s quality of life in a specific area. It helps as well with better functioning in everyday life. Life coaching supports personal development. Life coaching deals with situations like building relationships with loved ones, work-life balance, a new life role (e.g. parenthood or marriage), changing diet, conflict resolution, changing life attitude, and many more. It can be helpful with life projects or specific tasks, such as building a house, changing the work environment or place of residence, a difficult life decision like divorce.

Life coaching is a process based on series of conversations that help the client achieve the expected results in his personal life. Coaching sessions will allow the client to discover his potential as well as the barriers he has created. The goal is always defined by the client, while the coach assists in setting the directions for development and with the creation of a concrete action plan.

Coaching

Group coaching is a simultaneous work with more clients to develop their professional potential through teamwork or working with one client and the group as a background. These two perspectives are significant. The reasons for the ineffectiveness of the team may be different, e.g. ineffective distribution of work, lack of understanding of their role in the team, disturbances in interpersonal contacts between individual team members and between the team and its leader.


During team coaching, the coach works with the team, observes behaviors and potential dysfunctions. It helps to clarify the team’s goals, define its strengths and limitations, helps to build internal cohesion, find solutions to problems and define the way of operating for the future. In the relational aspect, the coach also helps to catalyze negative emotions, models communication, and helps team members understand what is happening in the team.

PRINCIPLES FOR OUR COOPERATION – COACHING CONTRACT

While working with clients, I always follow the ICF Code of Ethics, and sessions are conducted according to the ICF Core Competences.

Free consultation and trial session

We meet online or connect via phone. I explain to you what coaching is and my working methods. On the other hand, you tell me about yourself, and the areas that you would like to work. Then I inform you about the number of required sessions.

The duration of such consultation is 30-60 minutes.

Duration of the coaching contract

The decision on the number of sessions needed depends on the topic and the client’s situation. It can be 3 or even 12 sessions.

The form of conducting coaching sessions

Sessions can be conducted through a video meeting using such tools as MS Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet. Of course, there is also a possibility of face-to-face meetings if we agree so.

Cost and duration of the session

The session lasts from 60-90 minutes.

The cost of the session is PLN 120 (except from the free trial session)
